The third Ariana Grande album, Moonlight, will be released in 2016, and she has said that she will take the maximum time to produce it. The 22-year-old singer and lyricist has already released the album’s lead song, Focus, which has gotten lukewarm responses from her many fans. Some say that she possibly released the lead song to compete with Adele’s hit song “Hello” ranked at number 5 on iTunes and behind Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and two Justin Bieber’ songs. Despite the song’s lack of popularity, Ariana has decided to focus on perfecting the forthcoming album.
Recently, the singer also commented against sexism after DJs Eric D-Lux and Justin Credible posed a question that she found to be offensive. The DJs asked Ariana, “If you could use makeup or your phone one last time, which one would you pick?” And her answer was, “Is this what you think girls have trouble choosing between? Is this men assuming that that’s what girls would have to choose between?” In the same interview, Ariana had an opportunity to discuss the things she would change about this world if it could be possible. Her main concerns are meanness, intolerance, misogyny, double standards, sexism, and racism.
This lead song features heavy hitters underneath glimmering pop veneers. The credits of this song go to Grande, Savan Cotecha Ilya Salmanzadeh (“Love Me Harder” and “Can’t Feel My Face”), (“Love Me Like you Do” and the “Problem”) and Peter Svensson who’s a member of The Cardigans. Svensson also wrote Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really like You.”
The song is a heavy retro modern fusion piece – it’s as if someone hired a huge jazz band and forced them to perform pop song in Max Martin’s style. The vocals are lacking any excitement from the star that has the skill and the restraint to take instruments to higher levels.
Recently, Ariana also premiered her lead song, Focus, video. In this video clip, she shows-off her frosty white locks and also performs on a purple stage with her backup dancers. As this clip continues, its colors change to white and black. In star print leotard and while playing a trumpet, she tries to show off her skills in music. Grande debuted “Focus” in a commercial specifically for her new perfume, Ari, in early October. The Moonlight album will be a follow-up to the disc “My Everything” which she released in 2014 and which topped Billboard 200 and also ranked at number 3 in the UK.
With two albums and several big pop smashes under her belt, Grande has poured the world, and has appeared on several shows, developed a fragrance line, sung with big stars and licked some donuts. Since the famous release of her sophomore album (My Everything) one year has passed and her fans have gotten much from the singer.
Ariana Grande’s album, My Everything, was the second one in her list. The album released on 22nd August, 2014 featured such hit songs as “Problem”, ”Break Free”, “Bang Bang”, “Love Me Harder”, and ”One Last Time.” Grande described this album as an evolution from her debut album Yours Truly which she released on 30th August, 2013. The first album featured songs such as “The Way”, “Baby I”, and “Right there.”
